    This training covers detailed information for using Microsoft Project to create and manage schedules. The information covered in this course also applies to users of Project Professional with Project Online and Project Server.

    Depending on the functionality and processes your organization has implemented in Project Online and Project Server, the following topics from the training may be handled in a different way in your environment:

    • Set Up Your Microsoft Project Environment – Your organization may use specific project options that differ from those recommended in this training, and will have Enterprise Calendars predefined so you won’t be modifying or creating calendars.
    • Initiate Your Schedule in Microsoft Project – Your organization may be using templates that are accessed from Project Web App (PWA) to initiate new projects.
    • Defining Resource Availabilities – In Project Online and Project Server, resources are usually added to projects from the Enterprise Resource Pool.
    • Schedule Status – In Project Online and Project Server, schedules may be statused by team members through PWA timesheets.

    Everything else in the training is directly relevant to all users of Project Professional with Project Online and Project Server!

    There is additional functionality in Project Online and Project Server that is not covered in this training.
